Teo is a long-eared and curious bunny. He likes to listen and take pictures. His day is a swing between what he hears and what he sees. He is very attentive to all the sounds he encounters: from the alarm clock to the noise of pee, from the crunch of cookies to the song of birds, from the roar of the bus to the lapping of the waves. Teo has a favorite music of his that he listens while sitting comfortably on the sofa, abandoning himself to the pleasant melodies of the piano.
In his bedroom, when it is bedtime, he savors the memories of his sound day that ends in the sweet silence of the night.
The pleasure of listening is something that belongs to the “grown-ups”, educating the little ones to listen is not easy. It is not easy to do it in a light, simple and direct way. The game is a privileged medium and the theater can be a game, a game of objects, puppets, shadows and live action alongside actors.
Through some puppetry techniques we have tried to find a way to dialogue with children, transmitting emotions and sound sensations. There are four listening levels: Mozart’s music, recorded ambient sounds, the sounds of phonosymbolic objects and live vocal onomatopoeia. The playfulness of Mozart’s music was fundamental to find the sensitive key of the show.
